our history

Welcome to Terminator Sculpture Bike, where passion and perfection merge in a unique way. Our motorcycle is not just a means of transportation, but a work of art that carries the soul of the Terminator films.

After a total development and construction time of 10 years, we (my two sons and I) were able to successfully complete our private project in January 2021.

Inspired by the Terminator movies with Arnold Schwarzenegger, the challenge was to completely integrate the sculpture, i.e. the endoskeleton of the T800 in 1:1 scale, into a motorcycle frame.

This required the collaboration of engineers and digital designers to make this project possible. Companies were consulted to create prototype parts for us.

With them we built a work of art from milled, ground, polished and chromed aluminum parts. The arms were worked out down to the last detail and are movable. Even the wrists and fingers are movable and correspond to the film model.

All add-on parts have been milled from the solid. Movable parts (joints and the like) are made of polished stainless steel. The main stand mechanism enables the Terminator sculpture bike to be parked electromechanically.

The custom-made steel tank serves as a support for the movable arms and was designed into the upper body using computer-aided software. After making a dummy, the tank was constructed from steel.

The interior of the spine is used to house the on-board electronics. The lithium-iron battery and the oil cooler are located in the bow spoiler. Around 500 LEDs were installed to create an effective night design.

The electronic system can also be operated with a mains adapter or external battery. A blue laser has been installed in the headlight segment, which can be activated using a remote control.

The footrests, shift and foot brake levers and grips were made from the drive chains of a Tiger tank from metal model making.

A Sony Xperia smartphone was installed in a milled chassis above the Daytona Asura cockpit. A special Terminator app is installed on it. The software, which operates from the Terminator's field of vision, detects and scans all persons approaching from the front. The scan attempts to create a comparison with the target at the time, John Conner.

The seat was intended to be forward-looking and also have a corresponding design. The seat was also designed with the help of computer-aided software and printed at the Oechsler company using a new process with a new type of flexible and UV-resistant material. The engine chosen was a Honda CBX 1000. This six-cylinder engine from 1983, the year in which the first Terminator film was shown in cinemas, was intended to express the power of the Terminator once again and was integrated into the frame built for it.

All bolts were replaced with revised stainless steel bolts. A drive offset had to be calculated and produced for the 300 rear wheel.

The adjustable exhaust system forms a unit with the front spoiler and completes the Terminator sculpture bike at the bottom with its line.

Five different companies were involved in the chrome plating of the entire piece, each with their own specialty.

To ensure that all parts of the sculpture fit together perfectly, many of the aluminum parts had to be reworked after copper plating. The entire work is therefore chrome-plated. With an unladen weight of 460 kg, the Terminator sculpture bike is no lightweight. There are many more special features to mention, but a picture is worth a thousand words.

Design protection is available.
